KAB  was first applied in Morocco in 2008, after the Ministry of National Education launched a large education reform programme. Entrepreneurship education interest was extended from higher education, as it was a  distance-learning programme in universities, to  be incorporated into existing programmes in secondary education institutions. In order to accomidate the roll out a workshop was conducted in 2008 for training Facilitators, Trainers and Promoters with 20 participants from 7 universities. A two-semester pilot test phase was initiated as a distance learning course, in French, in March 2009 with 650 students enrolled.

The secondary and vocational education insitutitons pilot tests were to begin in the 2009-2010 academic year. There are about 20 secondary schools and all 200 training centres belonging to the Ministry of National Education under the Office for Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT), who will be participating, but first there will be an adaptation of KAB to suit the needs of the national educational system and all materials will be translated into Arabic.
